The Iron Throne gets back to TV on August 22 with House of Dragons, the exceptionally expected prequel to the hit Game of Thrones. The final episode of GoT left many fans overwhelmed. With House of the Dragon, which premieres on Disney+Hotstar, the GoT universe dials back the Targaryens, focusing on the events leading up to the War of Succession, known in GoT folklore as the ‘Dance of the Dragons’ Is known.
The series covers the war between Princess Renera Targaryen and her brother Aegon II, who takes the Iron Throne after the death of her father, Viserys L. Specialist Who star Matt Smith plays Prince Damon Targaryen, the King’s more youthful sibling. The pair have a “extremely muddled relationship,” Smith said. The new series depends on the book Fire and Blood by writer George R.R. Martin. Martin, who criticized parts of Game of Thrones, said that he had watched nine episodes of House of the Dragon and found them “quite amazing”.
